Sidehand collects no personal data, and sends nothing anywhere. It is a single-player, offline game. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics service, and no network requests of any kind.
Who this applies to
This policy covers the mobile and desktop game Sidehand
(Android package com.sidehand.game), published by Nicolas Hoffmann,
an individual developer based in France.
Data the app collects
None. The app does not ask for, read, or transmit any personal or device information. Specifically, it does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, advertising identifier, device identifier, or any other identifier.
Data the app stores on your device
The game saves progress locally so you can continue where you left off. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to send it (see the next section). It is stored in the app's own private storage and consists of:
- your saved run, unlocked decks, bankroll and high scores;
- your settings, including audio volumes and chosen language;
- a gameplay log of your in-game decisions, used only to draw the Skill Radar on the title screen.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.
The beta feedback feature
During the beta, the game includes a Send Feedback panel. If, and only if, you press one of its buttons, the game assembles a text summary of your progress (how far you got, how many hands you played, which settings you use, and any error messages the game recorded) together with anything you typed yourself.
The game does not send this anywhere. It either copies the text to your clipboard or opens your own email app with the text pre-filled, and you decide whether to send it and to whom. If you never press those buttons, nothing is ever assembled or shared. The summary contains no personal identifiers; you can read the whole thing before sending it.
Third parties
The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no social login and no crash-reporting service. No data is shared with, or sold to, anyone.
The app is built with the Godot Engine, which does not itself collect data. If you install the game from Google Play, Google collects its own information about the installation under Google's privacy policy. That is outside this developer's control and is not shared with this developer beyond the aggregate, anonymous statistics Play shows to every developer.
Children
Sidehand is not directed at children. It contains simulated poker played for in-game chips only. There is no real-money gambling, no purchase of in-game currency, and no way to spend money inside the game.
Your rights
Because no personal data is collected or held, there is nothing to request, correct, export or erase. If you want to remove the locally stored data, delete the app or clear its storage from your device settings.
Under the GDPR you may still contact the developer with any question about this policy at the address below.
Changes
If a future version of the game collects anything (for example if advertising is ever added), this page will be updated before that version is published, and the change will be described here with a new date.
